Escott Bay Resort - Anahim Lake
Escott Bay Resort is located between Tweedsmuir Park and
the Itcha Ilgatchuz Park on Anahim Lake. This puts you in
the middle of some of the most spectacular scenery in the
country and offers boundless opportunity for premium fishing,
hiking, canoeing, horseback riding and pack trips as well
as winter activities such as snowmobiling, cross country skiing
and icefishing.
Anahim Lake offers excellent rainbow fishing while the nearby
Upper Dean River is a famous classified river and a fly fishing
must. There are unlimited other lakes, streams and rivers
in the area offering opportunity to troll, spincast or flyfish
while boating, canoeing, wading or float tubing.
Our 'Corral' Dining room in the lodge is fully licensed while
accommodations range from our four bedroom chalet to six other
smaller cabins, all fully serviced and overlooking Anahim
Lake. We can also offer you lakeside RV and camping sites
with water, power, sani services and a cooking gazebo.
Our specialty is our horse back riding and guided pack trips.
These vary from an hour or day ride to three or four day pack
trip adventures into the nearby mountains where you may have
the opportunity to see and photograph grizzly and black bears,
moose, caribou, wolves, mountain goat, bald eagles, and a
myriad of other wildlife and birdlife. We also have alpine
hillsides covered in showy and in some cases, rare, alpine
flowers at certain times in summer. We also offer horse pack
trips for those that wish to hike, but have horses carry their
gear.

Campsites $20.00 per day

ACCESS
Drive in via Highway 20, 200 (300km) miles from Williams
Lake on pavement. Gravel for 2.5 miles (4km). See our web
site for a map. Or fly in either by Pacific Coastal from South
Terminal in Vancouver or private plane to the airport at Anahim
Lake.
