Wilderness Rim Resort - Nimpo Lake

Wilderness Rim Resort is located on the east shore of Nimpo Lake on its own private bay offering a quiet, relaxing atmosphere and a beautiful view.

Wilderness Rim is a great place to relax, but there are also numerous activities year round. In summer you can hike, mountain bike, go fishing, flightseeing, or get into some great wildlife or nature photography! In winter you can cross country ski, snow shoe, skate, snowmobile, snowboard, or wait for a glimpse of the caribou or moose that are often out on Nimpo Lake in the winter.

Nimpo Lake is considered the Floatplane Capital of BC and is a great jumping off point for fantastic flightseeing. Go on a flight over the multi-colored Rainbow Mountains, the magnificent Monarch Glacier, or breathtaking Hunlen Falls, the third highest freefall waterfall in Canada.

Nimpo Lake is well known for its abundant native Rainbow Trout that are fierce fighters on either a fly line or spinning outfit. Troll the lake, fly fish, stream fish, or we can arrange Steelhead or salmon fishing trips as well as fly out fishing trips on remote lakes with advance notice.

Relax in one of fourteen cabins including the luxurious new log cabins, Mt. Trumpeter and Mt. Kappan. Mt. Trumpeter sits right on the shore of Nimpo Lake providing spectacular lake and mountain views, is spacious, will sleep six easily and includes a full kitchen. Mt. Kappan is a cozy cabin for two with all the modern conveniences and fishing right out your front door. Ten cabins sit among the pines, are rustic but comfortable, and include electricity, antique wood stoves for cooking and warmth, and running water. Hot showers, flush toilets and laundry is within walking distance.
