The Chilcotin is an isolated wilderness untracked by roads.
The best way to see the stunning scenery here is from lofty
heights, and floatplanes fit the bill perfectly! This country
is full of high alpine lakes and pristine water that serve as
wilderness airports or runways, allowing bush pilots to take
off and land just about anywhere, This video is of a floatplane
taking off from a high alpine lake known as Wilderness Lake.
The pilot makes a few turns over our breathtaking Coast Mountain
Range full of raw, rugged peaks and glaciers before flying over
Hunlen Falls, a wild freefalling waterfall and one of the few
of this type to empty from a lake.
